Welcome

St Bede Lodge No.1119 is a lodge under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England and of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham.

Freemasons come from all walks of life, and are active in promoting a culture of integrity, charity and community responsibility.

St Bede Lodge was consecrated in 1866 and will soon celebrate it's 150th Anniversary. We meet on the last Wednesday of the month, ten times a year, at the Jarrow Masonic Hall at Grange Road, Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, NE32 3LD.

Our social mix is very diverse, with members from all professions. Freemasonry means different things to different people. Some enjoy the opportunity to listen to and debate with others, whilst some members also find the social activities of great interest. A chance to study the history, philosophy and esoteric nature of the craft appeals to many, but most of all Freemasonry offers you a pathway to develop in ways that personally interest you.

If you are interested in joining Freemasonry or wish to find out more,
